ABOUT THE PROJECT

KSB formalized a partnership agreement with Cure Blindness, a globally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating avoidable blindness through high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable eye care solutions. Under this collaboration, Cure Blindness supports the delivery of cataract surgical services targeting marginalized and underserved communities across Kenya. The partnership strengthens KSB’s surgical outreach capacity, enabling the Society to reach populations that would otherwise face significant geographic, financial, and informational barriers to sight-restoring interventions. Cataract surgery remains one of the most cost-effective medical procedures globally, and this partnership directly advances KSB’s mandate to Restore Sight and Build Inclusion.

THE OUTCOME

The partnership strengthens KSB’s surgical outreach capacity, enabling the Society to reach populations that would otherwise face significant geographic, financial, and informational barriers to sight-restoring interventions.
